brilliant skin irritation fix!

hi there! So you may remember that I started using Mio because my beloved Hollister suddenly caused skin irritation. Not under the wafer, but all around the outer edge, where the tape meets the skin. Itchy, raised, red welts- SO itchy!!! I put on a Hollister get-up yesterday AM, & sure enough, last night the itching started up. Drove me mad... so in desperation, I jumped out of bed & grabbed an old bottle of Calamine lotion- dabbed it all around the wafer edge, & voila! Instant relief. No welts, no itch. I'll use it again tonight prior to bed. And when I looked at the Calamine, one of the main ingredients is zinc- same as Calmoseptine. Which I've also used to combat itching, but I don't like the thick sticky feel of it. Calamine is the same deal, just liquid. Yay!!!!!

yeah, I tried to wafers with no tape, & it still itched! As it is, I cut the wafer pretty small- there is only about 1/4" of "tape" outside of the adhesive area. It's a weird sensitivity- it started up yesterday a good 15 hours after I had put the new wafer on. And, it seems to occur mainly at night, whn I'm in bed- not so much during the day. Last night, one of my cats was laying up against my tummy, & the heat from her body caused the itching to ramp right up. Bizarre....
