hemmarhoid and colectomy

I am going to be asking my Dr if I can have my colon removed since I have failed all medications.
If I were to have my colon and rectum removed I wonder if there is any way they could do a hemmaroidectomy.
Has anyone had an external hemarrhoid removed/stapled back inside during a colectomy? Anyone??

Well what are you planning to have done? Is this for UC? Are you having jpouch or perm ileo?

I recently had step one of three of jpouch surgery. I had an awful hemorrhoid that had been hanging around for WAY too long. I think mine was prolopsed or external. Long story short, it went away after surgery. I have a normal anus now, tmi I know, but it does excite me to be rid of that thing. Maybe you don't need to do anything. definitely ask your surgeon.

I don't have a hemmie, but I DO still have a skin tag hanging out down there the size of Texas AND I had my colon and rectum removed but still have my anus. My surgeon said the skin tag is not precancerous and to leave it alone. He said it would be more painful to me if he removed it and it just isn't necessary. My operation was in June of 2010.
