The bulb tubes are called JPs, for Jackson-Pratt, the dude who invented them I'm assuming. Anyway, I had one after my surgery and while it was in me, I had the helluva time peeing. There was pain, so much pain, both in my lower abdomen and along the left side of my back. It took me forever to pee enough to relieve the pressure. Then later, when they took the tube out (worst pain of my current life, holy cats), I felt it sliding along my bladder. Soon after that I was able to pee normally, but I'm almost certain that darn tube had been squishing my bladder or something and causing the pain. Just something to think about for yourself.
