White spots on stoma

A few weeks after surgery I had some white spots on my stoma. I took pictures and contacted my WOCN, and she didn't think they were anything to worry about. Most likely they were caused from rubbing up against the bag as I started walking more, or maybe the stoma being mashed on too hard when the home health nurse came to "help" with my first wafer change. I have also gotten small ulcer/canker sore looking spots on my stoma from time to time, but was told not to worry. If it puts your mind at ease though, it never hurts to call/email your WOCN to be sure.

I got some raised spots/bumps on my stoma a few months ago, they weren't very white, but were much paler than my stoma. When my nurse saw them (a couple of weeks later), she said that they were normal. I can't remember what she called them, but they are just little things that can appear in your intestines - we can just see ours so we notice anything happening with them!
I actually can't remember if I still have them, they didn't go away quickly anyway, but never caused issues.
