Dark Stool after take down

My take down surgery was one week ago today, just as of over the weekend, my bowels have begun to " "Wake Up" as they say, I am going about 12x per day now all formed stool, but it is dark and when it hits the water you can see that it has blood in it.

Now I realize things are just getting moving again from an area that has not seen any action in awhile, but I am wondering if that has happened to anyone else. It is all dark, nothing bright red. Thought it would get bright red as my rectum is sore from being stretched and passing stool.

Thanks for any input anyone has. I feel normal, no fevers, good energy level, inscion fine etc. etc.
