Anybody from the Cadillac Michigan area? There is a support group meeting next Wednesday in Cadillac.

Cape Cod, Mass. is my location- where there are zero support groups, I can tell you!

Southeastern Wisconsin.

Wish we had more support groups. Really only one and I'm the only person under 65 (i'm 37), but I go every month anyway. People are so compassionate and welcoming, and it really gives me hope for maintaining a positive attitude, and the ability to a great life with the ostomy.

Hey :) I think we are still on opposite ends. I am in the south, you're up north? I have another HW friend who is in Washington state - but you're right, there don't seem to be as many of us west coasters.

I didn't know where you were....but north or south that's ok. I was born and raised in CA so I have lots of family south. I did talk to one other person on healing well that lives in WA but can't remember now who it was. I'm glad there are so many in this forum and they are willing to give needed help with all of our "issues". Most people, i.e. those who have normal functioning digestive systems don't have a clue what life with IBD is like. Nice to share with people who understand.

MeByTheSea...it was Epat49....not sure if that is her name on this forum..lol. That is her email....Pat is her name. She is the one who mentioned Dr. Fechera...or whatever his name is. I am just plugging along...still have "issues"...surgeon doesn't want to operate..says it would be too much for me....I am ok with that...but, still getting another opinion on removing the anus. I kind of hope he agrees to leave well enough alone. I plan on seeing a new GI doctor too. My family doctor suggested I do so.
