Problem with loose stools 9 years after colostomy reversal

For the past 6 weeks I have had really urgent bowel explosions, leaving me too scared to go very far away from toilet.
Colonoscopy 6 months ago showed all clear for another 5 years.
Blood test...all clear.
C.T. Scan showed nothing apart from 1 large gallstone which has been there for over 12 years.
No pain, but up to 10 really fast bowel movement a day leaving me very tired and week.
I am 70 years old and any help is appreciated.

6 weeks means that your diarrhoea has become chronic and isn't just a short-term bug. It should be investigated. I certainly wouldn't wait 5 years for another colonoscopy - see if you can get your doctor to order another one now. Blood tests and a CT scan aren't enough to go on.

I hope you find some answers/treatment soon.

Thank you for your prompt reply NCOT ...I forgot to mention I had a colonoscopy 6 months ago.
Have a Dr appt today but was hoping someone has had the same problem.
Good luck with your recovery....it's not always an easy road.
