My father had a ileostomy operation 9months ago. Due to complications, he was back in hospital two days after his discharge bcos waste was going into his body. The doctor brought out another stoma, a colostomy, to help the waist going into stomach. His ileostomy stoma is for his waist. The other stoma is for mucas. Three months ago he had white, hard balls come out of his mucas stoma. about the size of a 5cent piece, no pain. This continued a few times, with no pain. However three weeks ago he had terrible pain under the mucas stoma and in the middle of his stomach. Went to hospital, released next day to be readmitted 4houts later. While in hosp 3large balls of this white, hard putty stuff came out again with a lot of gooey mucas. Showed the doctor and I took pictures. The main doctor came in to see my father and heard nothing about this. Now home, he's had another 4balls come from mucas stoma within 2days. Slight pain coming back. While in hospital one doctor said could be blockage in bowel. Very frustrated as no straight answers or explanations. If anyone has had this, or may know why this is happening, pls contact me. Thank you for your time and help. Worried daughter.
