Recent jpouch surgery

A few months back I had a total colectomy and ileostomy. Just this past Thursday I had the jpouch with loop ileostomy surgery.
I've been having a sharp pain, especially when I move, around my stoma. I still have the stoma catheter in and plan on going to get it removed Tuesday. I think this is what's causing the pain. Any suggestions for relief? Is pain with the catheter normal? Thanks.

lol, it's funny how pain tolerance varies so much. I try to get off the meds and out of the hospital at first possible moment. I stayed for 3 days for step 2. I didn't have a catheter in my stoma - what is that for? My stoma was painful for a while. I think that is normal and will take some time to heal.

My surgery was done lapro also, but I agree with ks1905. 8 days - I was still begging for my pain pump.

Yes, I had a little catheter that caused needle-like pain. It didn't stay in long and was bearable.
