Severe Burning and itching

I have about a month and 10 days left until my take down procedure but the burning and itching creates excruciating pain and inconvenience and I need to do something to get me through the next month. When I take off my bag my skin around the stoma is usually super red and sensitive and sometimes bleeding. Is there something I can do to avoid this? I use paste and one of those sticky rings to secure my bag and feel like I'm doing everything right but still have terrible pain and uncontrollable itching. Laying on my belly seems to make it feel a little better, sitting up and laying on my back seems to make it worst. I'm guessing because the stool can more easily leak onto my skin in those positions.. Any suggestions for help with this?

Get a pliable ice pack and try to work it around the area as best as you can. I know bag will be in the way mostly. But, if you can get the ice pack near the area, it will get the entire area cooled down. It helped me a lot, it relieved the itching after a few minutes. Like I said, it helped me a ton. Give it a shot, it's worth it. Good luck.
