I'm gonna have step 3 of 3 done soon and was wondering if after the surgery you're running to the bathroom right away for awhile or if it's more tameable than that. Also, i pass liquid mucus through my rectum right now which I can hold pretty good, is it the same feeling after the survey as far as urgency when you start passing stool again? Or worst. Thanks for the replies in advance

I went whenever I felt like I had to go. I never had any urgency though. Even in the beginning. I didn't try to hold it on purpose but sometimes I couldn't get to a bathroom right away and would end up holding it which was not a problem. The only difference I can think of to your question about
the mucus is when you're passing stool once your all hooked up, you'll likely have gas with it. Bm's with a j pouch can be quite noisy! If you've been good holding in the mucus, you'll be fine. :)

I never had any issues and I didn't have to go right away. You'll be able to tell when you want to go to the bathroom. I highly recommend a hand held bidet, I got mine from Amazon for about
12 dollars. Also get some calmoseptine cream.

Yes, absolutely. I don't need the stuff daily but there are times when I do and boy, it's a life saver! I keep a tube in each bathroom.

I've also been using the ILEX cream as well, that stuff creates an insane barrier on your skin to protect it
