odor control redux

I'm copying and pasting a recent post of mine...

I found the best deodorizer that really works for me. It's made by Safe and Simple. It's their pouch deodorizer without lubricant. It's an odorless blue liquid.

I have ZERO odor. Truly amazing. I give a couple squirts every time I empty my bag. I don't need to use room sprays anymore. My husband says it's a miracle product. Lol.

They'll send you a nice size sample. Make sure you ask for the one without lubricant.

I take a probiotic and find most of the time now my output rarely smells unless I ate something that makes it worse.

When I do use a pouch deoderizer I like Perfect Choice Super Strength deodorant. It is clear and a gel like consistency. It works really well. They are awesome about sending samples and send a good travel size. I feel like just a few drops of the gel coats the bag well.

I used to use Safe n Simple but didn't like that it was blue and so runny. It would splash even when I closed the bottle. It seemed messy to me. That said it also does work very well for odor.

I have been using Digestive Advantage Gas Relief. I initially tried it because I want the bacillus Coagulans strain to help control yeast after being on antibiotics during surgery but this one also has a couple naturally occurring digestive enzymes that help with gas. If I take one in the morning before I eat anything I never have gas in my bag.

That is actually why I like the gel because I can control where it goes. It coats the sides of the pouch where you put it and doesn't travel all around like liquid (or sit in a puddle in the tail) say if you were to lie down. I squeeze about 4 drops in the tail and squish it about one third up the bag so it's not near my stoma.
