ileostomy questions

I have had an ileostomy for almost two years now. And a couple of days ago I experienced a very bloated stomach. Then the next day some stomach cramps that would come and go. And now today I keep having to sit on the toilet and passed what can only be described as a very thick clay like ball of poo, with some mucus. Is this normal??? I am def freaked out!

So you still have your rectum? Do you have a loop or end Ileo? Sounds like it could of been a slight blockage if your ileo is still producing it may have passed, the mucus is pretty normal if things continue perhaps call your surgeons office but I don't think it's much to worry about.
