So after being sick all last week and three trips to the ER my gallbladder ruptured and I had emergency surgery to remove it. Got out of the hospital Friday. I'm doing ok except I have non stop nausea. Anyone else have this after their gallbladder was taken out? And does it get better?

I haven't had mine removed but I googled "gallbladder removal nausea" and it seems it's quite common. Some said they experienced it for months after removal and it just disappears. Have you asked your doctor for meds to control it? Zofran always worked well for me.

My gall bladder went bad and was removed way before my j pouch surgery. I remember being VERY nauseous for a few days after the gall bladder surgery. Once healed up from it, I never missed the little bugger. Obviously if the nausea persists beyond a few days, call your doctor. Feel better soon...

Thanks guys. Ya I googled but didn't add the word nausea. Once I did that I see it is common. Will just have to be patient and give it some time.
