Ileostomy Gas Build up help or suggestions needed HELP!

I had a blockage and started throwing up. I threw up all night. The blockage finally cleared but I had to go to er for dehydration. I'm home now but have a huge amount of gas in my bag and have to vent it every hour. I'm eating the same foods as before the blockage but now gas all the time. ANY HELP would be great! Thanks Pat

Quite normal following a blockage to experience lots of gas and higher than normal volume of watery output. I believe it is the bodies natural mechanism to help clear an obstruction and with some time it will return to normal. I find walking helps with the symptoms.

Your intestine might be a little tender and swollen from the blockage, I'd eat a low residue diet for a few days to minimize the risk of another blockage.

We did and are still doing that. It seems much better. I hope it stays good as I don't know how I can go to work with all the gas. Pat
