Stomach pain.. Hernia

I'm back to where I was before. Another dreaded hernia. I have been having stomach pain since Friday, sometimes, severe pain.

The pain hurts across my abdomen, from the left side of the stomach, and all the way to the right side of my abdomen, which is where the old stoma was.

I'm at a loss as to what to do here.

Many have chastised me for having the hernias repaired in the first place, but I only have them repaired due to severe, unrelenting, can't function, PAIN!!!!

Does anyone know of a Doctor who specializes in these dreaded hernias?

If I was not experiencing pain then I would not even consider another freaking surgery.

I am contemplating going to the ER due to this insane pain. Stoma is swollen, but seems to be working and producing. I don't see how this could be a blockage.

I don't have any experience with hernias but a swollen stoma is definitely a sign of a blockage. Are you having normal output? I have had a partial blockage that I stilled had output but is was way more watery than normal and nothing thick came through.

I'm glad you are feeling better. I'm sorry about another hernia! That has to be so frustrating. I'm about 9 months out from my permanent ileostomy and a hernia is my biggest worry for a complication!
