My surgery has been scheduled for January 4th

Having had CD for 23 years and a J-Pouch for 20 years, the ileostomy is the next step.

Once I've gone through the procedure, I'll be put on STELARA in hopes to work as a "preventative" drug for me.

I feel good I've made the decision, but now that I have a date it has gotten "real."

I'm pretty anxious about it a..and worries. Any thoughts? Any suggestions? Is there anything else left to try?

Stelara works really well for me. It's my second favorite biological after Remicade. Did you use Remicade prior to your surgeries or with your J-pouch? If not, I'd start there first since it is the gold standard of IBD biologicals.

I did Remicade from 2001-2009
I did Humira from 2009-2017
