one and three quarters year ileostomy placement

Hello, I have a one and three quarters year ileostomy placement.Two days ago I felt feverish. Not high. Took 2 tylenol , went away. Meals normal. The next evening I vomited twice. I feel week with slight pain in lower left quadrant at ileostomy site. Wafer and pouch holding strong. I have just been drinking water,stale soda, grape juice, no new vomiting or nausea. I will start today with rice, chicken broth
and ensure. From time to time I have the same or greater pain after changing my ileostomy and pouch
I lay down for awhile and goes away. My two new foods were pineapple pizza and a turkey burger with no bun.Slight pain continues and I feel very weak. TY

Hi Grace,

And welcome to Healing Well. I usually hang out in the chronic pain forum but saw your post and your concern. Any time you have fever and/or pain with a condition like your, you should call your doctor just to make sure you're OK. I have a daughter with Lupus. She has a port for feeding and takes excellent care of it. But even so she's had sepsis 3 times in about 3 years. We almost lost her twice. My concern for you is the fever, weakness and pain. Those can be signs of things like infection but not always. It would pay to check.
