If I get a bag leak on my Nov. 5 hour flight, those bathrooms are so tiny and no counter space (plus imagine the filth...). Has anyone had to change their bag mid flight? I'm a basket of nerves but guess I better practice. I can imagine being in there an hour re-doing everything bcuz my ileostomy is always active even with Imodium. Plus I'm very gassy so I'll be annoying everyone for 5 hours frequently going to the bathroom to burp my bag. ("Sorry, excuse me please, pardon me..."). Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

It's not as daunting as you think. I was worried sick of this situation but I managed two eight hour flights with no incidents.
Make sure you cover all bases, ie have spare bags etc. and emptying from a standing (stooped) position is a tad uncomfortable but to be honest I'm six foot tall and always have to stoop anyways in a plane. In my case I'm talking 'ileostomy' and use a two-piece.
I emptied once or twice but fortunately never had to do a full change which is just as well because I take about half hour to do that maneuver!

Thanks for your encouraging words. My ileostomy is always active but I'm hoping an extra Imodium or Lomotil preboard might slow it for awhile. AND no matter how much lube I put in my 2pc convex bag I pancake terribly and output stays in a big heap around the stoma, so I'm always tackling that. Endless.
