Compatible bags and wafers from different manufacturers?

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there are any other brand of bags that might be compatible with Convatec's Sur-Fit Moldable wafers? I've been using a Convatec setup for nearly 5 years and they've gone and discontinued the bags I liked and I don't care at all for the replacements they offer.

I'm wondering if anyone has had any luck mixing and matching products from different companies.

Excuse me,

I have not been able to mix or match wafers from different companies... Or even the same company for that matter. When it's happened to me in the past...I finally had to change the bags....

It would be wonderful if we could mix and match like that though.

Sorry but you will have too find the barrier that fits you or cut to fit. You will only find a bag that fits that brand sorry but that is pretty much how the cookie crumbles. It would be so nice if we only could, I love the Convect bags but the barriers don't like me. I hope this helps.

I use the sure-fit moldable too, opaque with filter and velcro closure for over 10 years. No, you can't mix and match. You could change from 1 piece to 2 piece or vise versa, colors, filters, or closures. My suggestion would be to call Convetec and ask to speak to a nurse. Best of luck!
