Ileostomy Reversal w/ J-pouch

I'm 2 days post op from having my ileostomy reversed. I have a J pouch that was done 8 weeks ago and I've now been reconnected. My question is for anyone who's had this surgery. Is it normal to have bloody bowel movements? That's basically all I've had the past 2 days and it seems like a lot to me when I go. The nurses don't know and say, "We'll let the doctor know." I never get any answers. Please help.

Welcome to the forum. I have a colostomy. I did have blood in my output for a couple of days after surgery. I am unsure on the jpouch.

You may want to search the older posts.... I do rember reading that some of the individuals that were reconnected had some difficulties. You might want to post this under the ulcerative colitis side also. More Jpouchers are on that portion.
