Hinghamite

I am an avid traveler and want to take a trip with my sister (first time with colostomy bag my 72 year old sister wears. She's also diabetic and mostly in wheelchair). She is mentally ill so she can't change her own bag. I had to change another sister's bag when we were on vacation once and prefer not to with this sister. This one wears a LARGE bag and she's always filling it with air or "materials." I am 76 and don't have a nurse's "abilities." I am thinking of a cruise. The last time she cruised, she was the most independent I had seen her in a long time and she loved it. The only down side is she will take or ask for help from anyone if she runs into trouble. It can be challenging for a fellow cruiser, but this rarely happens.

I am wondering if anyone knows of a reasonably priced traveling nurse or aide (skilled in changing bags and testing blood sugar....the latter is only once a day). I would push my sister around and may only need help getting her on and off the ship because of ramps.
