Hey everyone. I have a few questions for you.
I have Crohn's disease. I am the constipated Crohnie. I've had it my whole life, but only got diagnosed May 2005. I'm always constipated, regardless of miralax and everything else that you all have tried. (I don't think I need to list them all). My food always gets stuck in my right colon. I am doing a sitzmark test this week. Do you think that I will need surgery on my colon (a colectomy) to fix the constipation? I don't know if this is relevant information but, I'm down to 110 lbs and a size 0 from 140lbs and size 6/8 a year ago. The weight loss is unexplained and could be related to the Crohn's and/or the chronic constipation. I also have no appetite. My doctor was very quiet on what he was planning on doing when I see him next. I don't know if surgery is on his mind and he didn't want to tell me because he didn't want to scare me or what. What do you all think? Please be honest. I am not afraid to hear anything. :)
Thanks!
Love,
Kelly from Wisconsin, USA
