Hi Everyone,
Since I went to see my regular Stoma Nurse over in Baltimore, about two weeks ago, things are starting to look and feel better.I am now wearing the eaken seal under my wafer.I am only having two problems now. One,is I am having a hard time when it comes to flatening out the inside of the seal.I always manage to stretch it out with out meaning to.Does anyone out there know of a better way to do it.I always make it just a little bit to big.So with that I am still getting a little bit of stools under my seal. But I guesss the best news is,that for what ever reason,I have stopped itching under my wafer. Before the seal,I was itching all of the time under the wafer 24/7. The second guestion is,with the eaken seal on,I have noticed that it has raised up the wafer,so now my stools are not always making it into the bag unless they are really, really soft or runny. Is that also common.
Time has really gone by fast.It does not seem like I will of had my colostomy surgery a year this comming June 9th.I don't think I would go back to the normal way ever again. This way is less embarrassing.
If anyone has any answers to my question,I would welcom them.
