keeping hydrated with help of electrolytes

Besides your gatorade for electrolyes there is a water that is infused with electrolytes.  The water is called Smart Water.  Just another helpful hint.

the electrolytes I think depend on the type of ostomy you have although I might be wrong on that.  I have an ileostomy and I tend to have loose stool since the large intestine is what absorbs the liquid back into your system.  I also take 3 imodium a day per my Dr.  Many people can get dehydrated very easily that have Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Coli***, and other ways where one has lots of diarrhea.  Electrolytes are also lost in the diarrhea and just drinking fluid may not help rehydrate you.  Many people in general mainly due to stomach flu or heat exhaustion end up in the hospital on IV fluid just to rehydrate.  Electrolyts help to also replace other things lost in these circumstances.
