I had a transverse colostomy in March, and I had thought that all was going well. However a couple of days ago, I began to feel some pain at my stoma site. The pain is not severe, and feels much like a muscle ache. I was not too alarmed until today. I have gone almost 24 hours with no action through my stoma. two days ago, I woke up in the morning with the bag distended to almost bursting by gas. I had some thin stools until yesterday afternoon. Nothing since. Might this constitute a blockage.? The reason for my colostomy was a nearly complete blockage of the descending colon. Please any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I think you should probably call the dr. I think if you go more than 6 hours without output you are supposed to call the dr.
