I am headed to Salt Lake Sundayfor evaluation of more surgery.  I have a very large soma that has prolapsed and my sureon here says that it is almost sure to strangulaterequiring emergency surgery.   As a surgical candidate, I rank abot as low as one can.  Heart is bad, lungs are bad and kidneys are not so hot either.  I will be seeing a GI surgeon, cardiovascular, and have an evanuation of my lungs.  I really don't know what will happen, but I am apprehensive about the whole thing.  Wish me well all and thanks for this forum

I am so sorry you have to go through such a challenging trial.  My heart felt and most sincere prayers will be with you.  Are you far from Salt Lake City?  There are wonderful doctors there.  My husband and I used to live in Orem and Provo.  We loved Utah and my husband tells me he will move me back to the mountains someday.  I truly hope you come through this surgery will a great conclusion.  Please give someone your information so we can get updates on your progress while you are in the hospital. 

Do you know when you are going to have the surgery?

Thanks for letting us know "where" you are going to be. Please know that I wish you well, and you will certainly be in my thoughts until we hear from you. Keep thinking positive thoughts - mental attitudes plays a big part in your health, right? As Amey said, be sure someone has the info on how to get here to post your progress if/when you have surgery. We are just a bunch of mother hens here and we wonder where you are!!! Please take care, have a safe trip to Salt Lake, and I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

p.s. - My surgery will hurt but it will be one step closer to getting better. Positive attitude!

You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Please show your wife how to post a message here to keep us updated, in case you do have surgery. We are your ostobuddies and care very much about you.
