A neurologist, especially a movement disorder specialist, can quickly tell you if you have parkinsons. This forum has members with a variety of backgrounds including some medical backgrounds, but you won't get a diagnosis here. If you live in a large city or within driving distance of a university hospital that is probably where you will find the specialist. If you want to mention what part of the country you live in someone may be able to make a suggestion. My first visit with my local neurologist lasted about
10 minutes and he accurately diagnosed me with parkinsons. He aalso told me that there was no treatment, but the tremor can be addressed through the proper medication or possibly surgery. Through reading our experiences in the forum you can learn about
some of those strange things that you may have been experiencing, but didn't know why like problems with your toes, panic attacks, changes in taste and sense of smell, etc. Also, sleeping problems are extremely common. That's why I'm sitting here listening to the rain and typing at almost 1:30 in the morning. Good luck and please stay in touch. PS- the brain scan is good because it did not find evidence of a stroke or tumor apparently.
