parkinsons vs als please help

my dad started having weakness in his left hand in october 2007 to make a long story short he's been to 9 doctors since and has started falling. he shuffles is very weak and tired. he's been diagnosed with probable als vs spinal subluxation vs blah blah blah...lately through research my mom and i have started thinking it could be parkinsons. we are just so lost. did anybody else have trouble getting a diagnosis? his neuro didnt mention parkinsons but he was one of the first dr's he saw-he has since deteriorated. he seems to be whithering away. does anybody have a good experience with any docs in cleveland ohio?

I am going through the same thing with my father.  His problems started in March 2007 and still no diagnosis.  The lastest doctor we went to last week was a Geriatric Specialist. We have been to 9 different doctors also.       My father is 82.  He has now referred us to a different Neurologist which specializes in movement disorders.  His appointment is June 3.  I sure hope we get some answers.  He is deteriorating fast.  His symptoms started out as dizziness.  Now he has muscle weakness in his legs and they are real shaky. He suffles his feet and walks very slow. His balance is off and now he is falling.  He is also getting really confused lately.  It is very hard seeing him slip away so fast.  He has always been in good health and active up until last year.  I don't know of any doctors in the Cleveland area.  I hear Cleveland Clinic has some very good doctors though.
