have had some real sleepless nights lately don't know if he is progressing or what!he has had pd for a while and the meds don't seem to stop it or even slow it down!i'm his daughter and his caregiver!have been for over 7 yrs, moved them in eith me and take care of him 24/7.he has seem to go down more since mother died almost a yr. ago!its like someone turns a switch on or off and this is what we end up with!any sugesstions on where i'm at  this point?

my dad has parkinsons too. Seeing him sick is hard sometimes. The other night I thought, hey you know I'm probably not the only teenager with a dad who has parkinsons.Right?
I don't really know. My dad might not be to that point yet. Good luck <3

Tell us more about your situations. How long, what meds, etc. Are the neurologists movement disorder specialists?

thx everyone for comments!meds r crazy cause half don't do what they r supposed to do!dads a veteran so they have their own meds that r generic for the ones the nuerologist gave him!sinemet azilect stalevo geodon namenda and the list goes on!seems like a lot for him to try and digest when now it s hard for him to swallow!having moments of hyperventilating or what seems to be like and he can't talk during those periods but once i talk him down to the point of where hes calm enough for the words to come back to his mouth then all is well for a short period of time!just don't know sometimes whether it was smart for me to take this all on my own!he relys on me for so much and i have no life of my own to speak of and feel guilty when i do worry about my own kids and grand and great grand kids!
