I have been on Carbidopa-levodopa a little more than 2 years. No visible symptoms. Nothing.

I took a vacation to the beach and forgot the medicine at my hotel(in the city). No medicine for 3 days. Business as usual. Nothing out of normal.

My doctor told me to stay off the medicine at all(to see what happens). Close to a month now without the medicine. Nothing to report. Was wondering...do I have it or not? How long does the medicine stays on your system? As I said, was on it for a little more than 2 years(3 times a day).

I saw him in December. Will not see again until April. Will have a DatScan this coming Friday. Sent him an update of what was going on. Not ruled out the condition yet. I am very active. Average 5 miles a day of walking, bike and weights(for 1 hour M-F). Don't know if this has anything to do combine with a very slow progression. Of course I would rather have nothing. We'll see.

I am NOT a medical professional - just a person with PD for 15 years who has met a ton of people with PD.

I think it's fair to say that levodopa/carbidopa AKA Sinemet would not stay in your system for a month. The majority of people find symptomatic relief after taking levodopa/carbidopa for a few weeks. In fact, it is often one of the 'tests' for making a PD dx - if you respond favorably to it, then it is a good indicator of a PD dx. If you didn't notice any difference in symptoms when on/off the medication and you do not have typical PD symptoms (whatever 'typical' is) then what makes you/doc think you have PD? What are your symptoms?

Exercising should be beneficial, PD or not. I also exercise regularly - 3 times a week for 90 minutes each - and have had a VERY slow progression. I attribute that in part to a PD exercise class that uses 'forced exercise' to push me and make me do things I couldn't/wouldn't otherwise do. I have been involved in a non-contact, boxing-based, exercise program for people with PD. Note: I have never taken levodopa/carbidopa.

I meant the doctor has not 'ruled out'. Not me. Initial diagnosis two years ago was “Masked” face and one arm not moving enough while walking. Sporadic movements of my left index finger(once or twice a month). Nothing more. What do you think? Is this enough or we need more symptoms? As I mentioned on my initial post, I am off the carbidopa-levodopa(25-100) and still doing well.

Update- As mentioned on previous post, I had a DatScan last week. The doctor called and told me that there is NO deficiency of dopamine on my brain on the report. This is very good news.
