Question about body movements.

Lendi, I went to the Mayo Clinic's website & read the symptoms you described. Of course tremors are part of the disease. However, the rest of what you described was not listed there. Some close friends of ours, their son has had Parkinson's for almost 10 years. He has done well with treatment, he was young when dx'd. He is an IT man, has a great passion for his work & has truly done well in spite of this.

You are very welcome. I use the Mayo Clinic a lot, lol. At least I know by going there I will get excellent & accurate information. There is just too much garbage on the internet.

I will also toss this out too. A friend I have known early 40 years, developed hand tremors. She was a hair dresser! She was checked from head to toe & the specialists never found the cause. The tremors were called idiopathic tremors (unknown cause).

Just as an FYI ... it's estimated that 70% of the people with Parkinson's Disease have tremor.

i was down in texas and was told i too have pd. that was bout 12 yrs ago. and as far as the involatary movments seem like this lst 2 months have been bad very bad for me i think the med carba/dopa leivadpa,and ropinerole meds i take 4x a. day help very little. i have like a 4hr window where it goes from first hr calming to the 3 hr it starts ll over again. another trouble during that period my blood pressure drops to some times as low as 57 over 50.i n these last 2 mos passed out 3 times . everyone seems to be of little concern. like all the tests show im in excllant health. gets very lonely. i also am the princple care giver to my handicapped wife.
