Lupron and Parkinson's

Can anyone tell me if there is a link between Lupron and Parkinson's?  My dad has taken lupron shots for prostrate cancer for 17 years.  He has been recently diagnosed with Parkinson's.  Long-term side effects of Lupron are muscle weakness but the balance issues are not.

Any links or info would be appreciated.

P.S. My grandmother and great uncle had this disease in the 1960s so I am familar with the problems. I now have to catch up.

Hi Stlwoman,

I saw your posting on Lupron and would suggest that you repost on the prostate cancer forum page. I think you will get a number of replies there. I am on Lupron myself for PCa and, so far, I have not found any information that links Parkinsons and Lupron. Your concern has piqued my interest so I will do some research. If I find anything interesting I will post a link on the PCa page.

I am sorry that your dad must include the Parkinsons in his struggle and well as the PCa.
