bitting inside mouth

I don't have any suggestions, but my MIL does the same thing. She is constantly complaining about a sore lip. When we took her to the doctor's a while back, he just told her to stop biting her lip when she complained about her sore.

Your Dad should let his neurologist know about this.Could it be a jaw tremor?If that is the case a med change such as type or dosage may be in order.Another possibility is anxiety. I also have an occasional incidence of cheek and tongue biting caused by tremorof the jaw.wish you,and your Dad the best.Ed

The reality is that once youbite your cheek (with or without PD) it stays swollen--- the only way not to rebite that area is to stick with mashed potaoes etc---- then once it heals startover!! I do bite myself a lot--and my MOTHER has PD--- so it's just the fact that a bite turns into an ulcer type self protection---and from that healing--- things can begin again! I have found healing pads that stick to the boo boo help----mostly because u can;t bite around it---it feels like a baseball!! But it works!!!

yes--- they are in the same aisle as kanka, anbesol etc. they stick and u cannot peel them off--------u could really hurt yourself if u tried! they work-
