My mother is 80 years old and was diagnosed with Parkinson's 6 years ago. From what we can tell she is in stage 5. She can still walk some or shuffle with a walker but has trouble feeding herself. Someone stays with her all the time and she has to have an aide for personal hygiene. She falls into her chair or falls across the bed to get into bed at night. In the past two weeks she has started sleeping more and more. She has always been an early riser - rising usually 6:30 or 7. She has started getting up at 11 - 12 noon and today we had to make her get out of bed at 1:00 to eat and take her meds. Has anyone experienced this with family members who have Parkinson's?
