Good Afternoon!
I just received word of this email address today. My ex-husband was in Viet Nam in '68,'69 and thoroughly exposed to Agent Orange. He had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in late '72 and early '73. about 5 years ago he was diagnosed with type II Diabetes and about 2 years ago he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. We placed a claim with the government for the Non-Hodgkins in the early '80s but he was turned down. Neither of us had any idea of the studies being performed all these years. A couple of years ago I found out about the Agent Orange studies and did quite a bit of research. I helped my ex-husband file a claim for compensation for the Non-Hodgkins and the Diabetes. I also threw in the Parkinsons as I had done research on it also and found out that it is caused by toxins. What, after all, is Agent Orange, if not the worst toxin during that time period. So far, he has been given 20% disability for the Diabetes, the Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma is still on the adjusters desk and he was turned down for the Parkinsons; however, he was told in the letter to send in any supporting information, journals, research on the correlation between Agent Orange and Parkinsons. If anyone has any information regarding this, we really would like to have your help. I might add that my ex. has an identical twin brother and 2 younger identical twin brothers, 16 mo. younger. Only my ex. was in Viet Nam. The others were in Germany and Thailand. They have had none of these conditions. The Viet Nam vets were not taken care of when they came home from the war and 40+ yrs. later it's still a fight. Thanks for any help.
