Persisting pain after lifting A/C to 2nd floor..

Hi,

I write here on my mom's behalf.

During the summer (three months ago), my parents handlifted an air conditioner to 2nd floor using stairs. That same night, my mother noticed pain in her butt (i do not know what to call it). The pain persisted for over a month and that was when she seeked help from neurologist. Nothing came out from the diagnosis except telling my mom to do some exercise. Not only did the pain not go away, it worsen over time. A month has passed, the pain has has spread to her legs (left leg first, now right leg is experiencing pain).

Please help. Has anybody experience this?
