Just registered and thanks to OldVet and others for taking this on. I am 63 and a Vietnam Vet who
served on PBR Mobile Base II while in the Navy, in the Delta at Tan An 1969 to1970. I was diagnosed with Parkinsons
a little over two years ago. I am scheduled to apply for disability compensation with the local VA rep
the middle of May. Since PD has been given "presumptive illness status", I should be eligible for this
compensation, I assume. I have my service records proving service, my neurologist's records stating diagnosis,
all pertinent marriage documents, birth certificates including family members. Am I missing anything. I have the
local US House of Representative on board for any help also. I have been unable to work for over two years now
and receive SS supplemental disability. I know there will be a backlog due adding PD to the presumtive list, but I
just want approval if warranted. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Cobrabobby
