brand name vs. generic - Mirapex

Does anyone notice a different from taking brand name Mirapex then switching over to generics?
My mom did this 3 months ago and I notice she's not as mobile as she used to be and is sleepy all the time. Even though FDA approves a drug to go on the market as a generic I still think they are not identical. There are fillers added which can cause a reaction to sensitive people. Any thoughts or experience from anyone?

I take Mirapex and now the generic for Restless Legs syndrom and I do feel that the Mirapex worked better than the generic.  Sometimes I have to take 2 or 3 pill before my legs settle down whereas I only had to take one of the Mirapex.  It is frustrating.

My mom is back on real Mirapex and it is much better drug.

Thanks, I may have to ask my doctor to prescribe the real vs. generic from now on.

Keep in mind the real kind costs more depending on what kind of insurance you carry. Generics are never the real deal. Some people may not notice a difference but if you do then know that it's not just your imagination. My mom was falling down left and right with the generics.

Thanks Bella33. I know that the real Mirapex cost me $30.00 vs. $5.00 but if it doesn't work and I have to take triple the amount, I'd rather pay the extra. Hope your Mom is better.

P.S.  Unrelated drug but when my daughter was on Adderall and then switched to the generic, she swore it did not work as good.  Now I believe her.

My mom takes a generic version of Norvasc for her blood pressure and that works just fine so it all depends. If you can afford it then of course get it. It's your health we're talking about. Good luck.

Not sure if you know this but Mirapex name brand has stopped production as of January of this year. I just found out yesterday after the supplier to my pharmacy ran out and said none will be coming.
