Early Onset Parkinson's???

Hi all,

I am 26 years old, and am concerned about some symptoms I am having which from a little research apears to be Early onset Parkinson's...

Im guessing there are some people that will say if Im concerned go and see a Doctor, unfortuantly I have just moved to a new country, and not eligble for healthcare benifits yet. and dont want to go and see a GP just to be told theres nothing wrong, and have to pay though the nose for it.

In the last month or two, I have noticed a tremor in my right arm, There doesn't seem to be anything inparticular that sets it off, Ill be doing something and my hand will start shaking, and in the last two weeks ive been getting the same tremmor in my right arm and right leg when resting. There has also been a number of times where ive been sitting down, and my right leg will start shaking like a jackhammer, and cant stop it. This goes on for up to 30 Minutes at a time.

In the last 6 - 12 months Ive been very fatigued, In the middle of the day even after a really good nights sleep, ill be doing something on the computer and fall asleep while doing it, be watching TV, and just nod off.

I find myself stuttering more and more and at times it looks like the right side of my face is pralised...

What do people think?

In my opinion those are classic PD symptoms. How is your sense of smell? When you walk do your arms swing back and forth? You need to see a Movement Disorder Specialist neuro.

in 2 weeks ill be eligible for free health care, so will be going to see a doctor then.

Had a bad night the other night at work, was driving the truck ( I work in a mine and drive the dump trucks underground) and for about 20-30 minutes had a constant tremor in my right arm, and a intermittent tremor in my right leg, nothing I could do helped it go away, all I could do was keep on driving using my left arm and forcibly keep my foot on the accelerator.

I almost don't want to go to the doc, I dont want to know lol.

hi , i sugest you go get checked out  i had a tremor for 18 months thinking it was a trapped nerve in my back, so i went to doctors and he refered me telling me that he thought i wouldnt be P.D so i v had test and scans and just before xmas iv been diognised with P.D although i am deverstated at the news i new deep down in the heart that was going to be the case.

my syptoms were

tremour down my left arm, and leg

loss of smell

my left arm has lost some mobilaty

going to the lloo quite a lot (wee)

sleep patten diffrent

memory slighty affected

i should have gone to the doctor a lot sooner but i must say my doctor , consultant and the P.D nurses have been fantasic and very supportive ,i start medication the end of the month so hopefully that will controll the tremour .

so my advise to you id GO GET CHECKED OUT  and good luck x
