Compounding Stalevo

Has anyone tried this? Would it be the same as crushing it? My mom refuses to swallow without chewing any of her meds now and Stalevo is supposed to be swallowed whole. I want to know if anyone has done this and what results came about. I emailed the drug manufacturers and they were useless .

It was the pharmacy that said they could compound it for me because they have the recipe but having the ability and should it be done is 2 different things. That's what I'm concerned about.
