hi i was diagnosed with juevenile PD when i was 16. Im 36 now and still goin strong. ive been taking sinemet plus and sinemet 62.5 since i was diagnosed and have experienced a number of things when ive tried other medication. the latest one is entacapone i was just wondering has anyone else been prescribed these and any bad experiences with them.

Sorry to hear that you have pd ,glad you have it under control.Welcome to Healing well pd forum.I am on a entacapone (comtan) sinemet combo known as stalevo.fortunately I had no problems with entacapone,It sure stretches out the effective time period of sinemet for me.with stalevo I get longer results with less sinemet.I've been on it for about 18 mos.although time is hard to keep track of.Wish you the best.

I forgot to mention i also take quitiapine at night. i was given these last year following a bad reaction to amantadine. i had a really frightening time of hallucinations which resulted in a 3 week stay in hospital. at that time i was also taking cabergoline, but the doctors stopped these because these didnt help with the hallucinations. i am really on edge and am unsure wether i should risk going through the same again because the entacapone also have the side effect of hallucinations
