There is a new comedy TV series scheduled for the fall of 2013 starring MICHAEL J.FOX as a husband and father with Parkinsons disease.

Yes I heard he tweaked his medication so how he can function much better. I wish he would share what he took before and what he change so at least we can know what is possible to do.
I think an even better question is why didn't his doctors think of this before? He's had it for 20+years.

I am sure his medication has been tweaked many times over the years. He may have been over medicated to hide his symptoms completely. Possibly paying for it now.

He's been on a lot of talk shows lately and, even with his resources, says he's constantly tweaking his meds just like everybody else. No easy answer.

This might be a stupid question but how can a person know for sure they have PD? My mom was diagnosed 15 years ago and you would think she should be further along with the ill effects but she seems to need less and less medication lately. The reason I say this is when she's taken her drugs (Stalevo with Mirapex) she will moan and groan and grind her teeth for the next 2 hours+ like she's got too much in her.
How can someone need less as the disease supposedly progresses? I heard of NPH but probably not it and how can anyone know for sure they DON'T have it and have been taking the wrong meds or too much of what's needed?
