carpel tunnel syndrome to parkinsons disease ? im only 24

I currently have carpel tunnel syndrome ive had it for about four years but it continues to get worse im too the point of losing complete mobility in my hands. i have been given weekly injections of steriods into my wrists wich help but now for the last two months my hands have been shaking uncontrollable and the simplest of tasks have been impossible i have two young children and im only 24 my doctor said it is very rare for this to be happening at my age but now im starting to worry if the shaking is something more the thought of possible having parkinsons disease has been running through my head and my doctor wants me to come back monday for tests. is this possible? can carpel tunnel syndrome lead to parkinsons? im so scared. how will i take care of my children anyway i hope someone could give me a little insight into this. has anyone heard of this happening before ? please reply thank you

The first thing you need to do is be sure you have a neurologist that is a movement disorder specialist. If you don't know, call and ask. They specialize in diseases like Parkinsons. How is your sense of smell? That is often the very first symptom. Do your arms swing when you walk? These are the questions an MDS will ask.

Please be sure you see an MDS as soon as possible, if not sooner.

Doll, I have not heard of carpel tunnel leading to Parkinson's disease. Many things can cause tremor. If you decide to pursue the tremor, I would encourage you to see a neurologist - and perhaps a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders ... a Movement Disoroder Specialist or MDS.
