-- Did you know that the tulip is the symbol of hope for people with Parkinson's? We hold a tulip sale in April to help raise awareness of PD. We sell bunches of 10 fresh-cut tulips.
-- We get the Governor and Mayor to sign Proclamations declaring the day/week/month as PD Awareness day/week/month.
-- We have an educational open house with information about PD and local resources.
-- We have a 'special' speaker at our monthly support group meeting.
-- We post an educational display at the library.
-- The Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF), a national PD non-profit organization, has a fabulous booklet on things one can do to promote Parkinson's Awareness Month.
What are you doing for Parkinson's Awareness Month this April?
