I have had PD symptoms since November 2007, diagnosed 2008. Azilect since diagnosis. Now added 3mg x 3 ropinerol for a year. I gauge my response to the meds by how well I play ping pong. I love to play. Yeah, strange. I have a table at home. We winter in Florida in a 55+ community with amenities including ping pong. I play almost daily, sometimes twice in a day. Last year was our first year here. At that time azilect and artane. This year I don't play as well as last year. Considering sinemet but don't like the long term side effects. Please tell me your experience and the answers to the questions that I don't have.
By the way, I started playing PP against myself when I was diagnosed. Good exercise and good for reflexes. I am right handed with right side symptoms. One day I hit the ball to my far left side. I automatically switched the paddle to my left hand and returned the ball. I had never held a paddle in my left hand before. I am now as good left as right. I switch hands automatically during a game.
