Is There Anyone Else Who Has Been Told There are A-Typical Concerning PD Medication?

I was recently told by my neurologist that my body has an A-Typical response to PD medications. I am 74 and I have had PD for 12 years. I suffer from dyskinesia, freezing, tremors, weakness on the left side, poor balance, to name a few symptoms. I am totally dependent on my caregiver. Is there anyone else who has an A-Typical response to PD medications and do you have any suggestions or advice for me?

I have to ask ... have you obtained opinions from other neurologists, or preferably other movement disorder specialists (MDS)? You say you were 'recently' told ... after having PD for 12 years. Are you saying that meds: 1) previously worked, but don't work now, or 2) never worked? What, if any, treatments have you been receiving for the last 12 years?
