Hi - doing research for my father who suffers from severe RLS.
In the Air Force he was exposed to trichloroethylene almost daily for 15 years as it was the solvent of choice to clean machine parts. He was also exposed to Agent Orange during his tours in Vietnam.
Would appreciate any information others may have gathered in relation to this topic and also any headway anyone might have made with the VA. The nights and subsequent days are mighty long for an exhausted man unable to sleep because his legs will not allow him to sit still.
We have tried every RLS med in conjunction with various sleep meds. The urge to move is stronger than the sleep aid and he finds himself stumbling and even falling in his attempts to relieve the RLS while under heavy duty insomnia meds.
All information appreciated.
