I am considering using Agilect.  Does anyone in the forum know if it is generally recommended by those who have used it?

Hi Steve welcome to healing well.Agilect has not been approved yet in the US for public use.The last I heard was that the F.D.A.found additional concerns and the manufacture and sale of agilect had been delayed.Teva pharmacy does maufacture it for sale in EU and also Canada I believe.My understanding is that the drug delays the breakdown of what little dopamine we got left.It appears to do this effectively.I for one await its approval in the US,and I would be extremly interested in hearing from anyone using this drug.Glad you found us and the light is always on at Healing well.Ed

Just a P.S. is it any wonder with all the law suits going on that the drug copanies are reluctant to produce new drugs in the us.If aspirin was developed in 2006 it would probably never hit the market,and if it did by 2020 it would cost 1200 for 30.Ed

 I am a retired GP from Oklahoma and have personally used Azilect. I also have had a few patients use it as well. In my opinion, it works fine, and I have hear the same from others. No side effects noted.

Rick thankyou for your input.I edited it as a reference to a commercial site.I assume you have no vested interest in this site,but do not know for sure.I will add that there are many sources for this drug ,and I hope it will shortly be approved for sale in the US.I guess i still put faith in the FDA.Ed
