Hi everyone,
My dad’s brother has had PD for 5 or so years. His wife recently left him and he is having a tough time of it. I have been visiting him and chatting with him on the phone but I would like a greater understanding of his illness so I can be more understanding and accommodating of his condition when I see him. For example, I recently invited him to a barbecue and I found out later that he had some difficulty getting there as he drove to my parents the night before and has trouble driving at night. Things like that I would like to be mindful of. For example, he has a nature reserve behind his house, is suggesting we go for a walk suitable or is that hard for someone with PD? Do they struggle with the heat more than most people? Are there some foods that are not good? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
